Tygon® 2475 IB tubing
Plasticizer-free for high pressures
Higher pressure capabilities
Tygon® 2475 IB high pressure thermoplastic tubing with textile reinforcement to withstand higher pressures. It uses the same smooth inner fluid contact layer as Tygon® 2475. Tygon 2475 IB may be successfully used for higher pressure applications such as single use UF/DF systems and chromatography systems.
No added plasticizers for lower potential extractables
Tygon® 2475 IB tubing is engineered without plasticizers, minimizing the risk of leaching and helping to prevent contamination in critical biopharmaceutical processes. Thanks to its plasticizer-free composition, the tubing offers exceptional resistance to harsh acids, bases, and solvents—conditions that would typically degrade or extract plasticizers from conventional PVC tubing. Its crystal-clear construction enables easy visual monitoring of the fluid pathway to verify consistent flow. Additionally, Tygon® 2475 IB provides significantly lower gas permeability compared to standard silicone tubing, ensuring enhanced protection of sensitive fluids against oxidation.
Low wetting and ultra smooth
The low surface energy of Tygon® 2475 IB tubing minimizes the wetting of aqueous solutions, enabling greater fluid recovery and reduced product loss. Its exceptionally smooth inner surface helps prevent microbial adhesion, a key advantage for maintaining cleanliness in bioprocess operations. Moreover, Tygon® 2475 IB exhibits extremely low absorption of water-based substances, helping to preserve fluid integrity in both single-use and repeated-use systems.
